๐ World TB Day โ Letโs Raise Awareness Together ๐
The UK has seen a rise in Tuberculosis cases since 2020 with a national rise of 13.5% in 2024 – the largest annual rise since national surveillance began.
Lincolnshire saw a 63% rise over the same period.
Today weโre supporting World TB Day to help raise awareness about tuberculosis (TB) โ a serious but treatable and curable disease.
TB mainly affects the lungs and spreads through the air when someone with active TB coughs or sneezes.
Early symptoms can include:
โ๏ธ A persistent cough (lasting more than 3 weeks)
โ๏ธ Fever and night sweats
โ๏ธ Unexplained weight loss
โ๏ธ Fatigue
If youโre experiencing any of these symptoms, please donโt ignore them โ contact our GP surgery for advice and support.
The good news is that TB can be treated effectively with the right care. Early diagnosis helps protect you and those around you.
Letโs work together to end TB. ๐ช
