Carefree is the charity giving back valuable time and space to unpaid carers through hotel breaks – thanks to them, carers now have access to two hotel breaks a year, offering a much-needed chance to step away from their caring role and focus on their own wellbeing.
Carefree works by redistributing donated hotel stays, turning unused rooms into restorative breaks for people who rarely get time off. These short stays can make a big difference, providing carers with time to rest, reset, and return feeling supported and appreciated.
Having regular access to breaks like these recognises the vital role carers play and helps ensure they don’t have to run on empty. Even a brief change of scenery can have a powerful impact on mental and emotional health.
